Migosy

Migosy is a DJ and producer based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. His mother is from Saba, and his father is from Suriname. Born in 1982, Migosy is skilled in a variety of music styles and plays several instruments, including keyboard, piano, percussion—and even uses his voice.

He began his career in the hip-hop scene and scored numerous hits with his former group Beatkidz, including “Ik ben je zat” and “geweigerd.nl.” In 2011, he released the Skyline EP on Defected Records—a project he wrote and recorded for his daughter Djanique—which was supported by many house legends. Following that, he dropped the Loyal People EP on Offering Recordings, igniting a different kind of fire in DJs’ live sets. The release of the Patanegra EP on Depth Recordings confirmed his distinctive sound, with tracks that continue to be played and respected around the globe.

In 2021, Migosy launched his afrotech event Voodoo Familia, held in both Rotterdam and Amsterdam. Driven by one mission, Migosy continues to share his love for music with the world.
