Mavüa is born from the fusion of “mar” (sea, in Portuguese) and “vua” (rain, in Kimbundu), a name that embodies both heritage and essence. Of Angolan descent, Mavüa carries the rhythm of her roots, the energy of the ocean, and the fluidity of rain — bridging Portugal and Angola, soul and body, tradition and movement. Inspired by artists like Mëstiza, Black Coffee, Hugel, Shimza, Yas Cepeda, PAUZA and Aron Sevilha, Mavüa creates a sonic journey that makes you travel, feel deeply, and dance endlessly. Her sets flow with Afro-house, melodic textures, and hypnotic beats, inviting the audience to connect through rhythm and emotion.
