Mauro Torretta

Mauro Torretta is an Argentine DJ and producer originally from La Plata, Buenos Aires, currently based in Tulum, Mexico. Renowned for his energetic and track-oriented sound, he has developed a strong musical identity within the international electronic scene.

He began his career in Buenos Aires, where he performed in some of the most recognized clubs in the country, including the emblematic Jet. From the beginning, his sets stood out for their groove, energy and connection with the public, which allowed him to make his way within the local circuit.

Before dedicating himself fully to music, Mauro graduated as an Industrial Engineer in Argentina. Soon after, with a clear vision of taking his project internationally, he decided to move to Tulum, Mexico, at the age of 25.

In Tulum, he quickly integrated himself into one of the most influential electronic scenes in Latin America, positioning himself as one of the leading DJs in the area. He has performed at prominent venues such as Vagalume, Bonbonniere, Mia, Taraka, Sinner, Summerians and Ten Ibiza.

Their sound is based on House, incorporating elements of minimal deep tech, indie dance and deep house. Their sets are characterized by marked grooves, dynamic energy and a careful musical selection that seeks to generate an emotional connection with the audience and elevate the experience on the dance floor.

Throughout his career, Mauro has taken his music to different countries, performing in Argentina, Mexico, Spain, Italy, Thailand, Egypt and Belize. Among its international presentations are clubs such as Pacha Barcelona, City Hall Barcelona, Baloo Ibiza, Sanctuary Roma, Secret Party Koh Tao, Vibe Sharm El Sheikh, Vibe Hurghada and Mayan Garden Belize.

In addition, he has shared the booth with international artists such as Dennis Cruz, Gordo, Kolombo, Popof and Matthias Meyer among others.

In recent years, he has expanded his project into music production, releasing tracks on labels such as Distance Records (Bassel Darwish), Future Frequencies, Zoo Tech, and Loop Jewels.

In 2026, it launched MTRX, its own event concept in Tulum, focused on high-energy electronic experiences in carefully selected spaces. This project reflects his artistic vision and his evolution as a DJ, producer and curator of experiences.
