Matteo (IT)

Matteo (IT) is an Italian-born DJ and promoter based in Cologne, Germany, and the creative mind behind Rheinbass and Suprememusic—two platforms dedicated to delivering forward-thinking underground electronic music.

With a sound rooted in House and Tech House, enriched by elements of Deep-Tech and groove-driven Techno, Matteo has developed a distinct musical identity that prioritizes flow, tension, and dancefloor functionality over trends. His sets are characterized by rolling basslines, hypnotic rhythms, and carefully crafted transitions that take listeners on a journey rather than chasing peak moments.

Over the years, he has built a solid presence in the German club scene, performing at respected venues such as Artheater, Club Bahnhof Ehrenfeld, and Tanzhaus West, while also curating lineups featuring artists like Arado, Timo Maas, and Reiner Zonneveld through his Rheinbass events.

Beyond DJing, Matteo plays a key role as a curator and promoter. Through Rheinbass, he connects local talent with international artists, creating a platform that reflects the true essence of underground club culture. The project has grown into a multi-dimensional brand, including events, the Rheinbass Sound radio show on Data Transmission, and the upcoming launch of Rheinbass Records.

Driven by a clear artistic vision and a passion for authentic club experiences, Matteo continues to evolve both as an artist and as a force behind the scenes—pushing a sound that stays true to its roots: groove, depth, and underground energy.
