MAAVIE is the project behind an electronic artist based in Quito who has been building his own identity within the scene from a clear approach: groove, atmosphere and emotion as the central axis of his sound.
His relationship with music begins at an early age, starting to play from the age of 10. His first approach to electronic music comes through Tiësto, who awakens his interest in the genre and encourages him to explore further. Over time, that interest transforms into a deep connection with music, developing a broad listening that ranges from contemporary electronica to more organic and experimental sounds.
In this process, he discovers artists who mark his sensitivity, not only from the DJ side but also from the production side, such as Mochakk, Disclosure, CA7RIEL and Paco Amoroso, as well as genres such as Bossa nova, experimental music and more alternative proposals such as Mac DeMarco. These influences build an open musical vision, where groove coexists with emotion and sound exploration.
Far from being defined by a single genre, his proposal moves within a club aesthetic that combines house, minimal and melodic textures, always prioritizing the movement of the body over the formula. Their music does not seek to fit in, but to generate a physical and emotional response that connects with the track and remains in the memory.
This approach is reflected both in their productions and in their DJ sets, where groove takes center stage and energy develops progressively. More than a selection of tracks, their sets function as journeys: they build tension, explore hypnotic states and lead to moments of liberation that feel organic and shared.
Their sound also integrates a particular sensitivity towards texture and rhythmic detail, with percussive influences and a constant interest in generating enveloping atmospheres. In certain projects, MAAVIE also incorporates its own cultural elements, opening space for fusions that connect the local with the global track.
More than positioning himself as a genre DJ, MAAVIE poses himself as an artist in constant construction, focused on transforming real emotions into danceable experiences. Their narrative – from the studio to the stage – reflects an authentic process, where each track and each set is part of a sustained evolution. With a clear vision and a developing identity, MAAVIE is committed to solid growth within the scene, building a sound that is not only heard, but felt, danced and remembered.
