Lux Aeterna, a non-binary visual artist and DJ born in Italy in 2003, develops a multidisciplinary practice that merges sculpture, sound, and performance. After earning a diploma in Figurative Arts and contributing to independent cultural projects, they completed their studies at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan. Today, they operate across national and international stages, moving fluidly between underground subcultures and institutional art contexts.
Their research explores the ritual potential of art and sound, weaving psychedelic and industrial sonorities into immersive installations. In Lux Aeterna’s vision, sound is a violent and energetic element, an all-encompassing vibration that functions as a ritual device. Their performances become paths to be traversed in which the spectator undergoes a profound metamorphosis. By engaging the body, space, and perception, the work strives for a form of beauty that transcends mere aesthetic pleasure, manifesting instead as an intense and uncanny experience.
This transformative tension drives a musical research in constant evolution. While their DJ sets span Tekno, Hardtekno, Industrial, and Acidcore, their current production is veering toward IDM and Dark Ambient territories. This new direction aims to unite the ecstasy of collective trance with a dimension of deep internal immersion and presence. On stage, Lux Aeterna appears as a demonic priest, a force that opens the ritual and guides the audience beyond the threshold through lofty, oneiric sonorities blended with noise. Through obsessive kicks and acidic distortions, a sonic black mass takes shape where rhythm possesses the body and the mind retreats into itself, acting as a smothered light dancing through the ruins of a post-apocalyptic realm.
