DJ BIO — LUISFELIPE Luisfelipe’s journey into music began in 1994 when he crossed paths with well-known TV presenter and broadcaster Iain Logan at Pick n Pay, Steeldale, Johannesburg. Still young at the time, he would visit Iain’s studio daily, watching him broadcast live. Those afternoons sparked a passion that would define his life. With a musical upbringing and formal UNISA training, it wasn’t long before Luisfelipe began DJ’ing school functions and mobile events. In 1998, he moved to Durban (KZN), where his first major break came at Calico Jack’s. From there, his reputation grew rapidly as he performed at leading commercial venues including: Red Dog • Joe Cools • Crowded House • Cloud 9 • Bonkers • Cantorino’s • Roman Lounge • The Lounge …and more. As his style evolved, he shifted from the commercial scene into the Rave/Underground movement, refining his sound and artistic identity. He went on to perform regularly alongside respected names such as Martin McHale (330) and Sam Boylan (330), and held a residency at Club Traxx, Durban. RADIO Beyond the club scene, Luisfelipe has featured on major radio platforms, including: 5FM — Derrick the Bandit Show 5FM — Mark Gillman (AIDS Week Feature) East Coast Radio — with Trever Williams He later became a radio presenter on Mix 93.8 FM, where he spent four years on air and earned two Telkom Radio Awards finalist nominations (2023 & 2024). In 2025, he joined Studio Prime Radio, continuing to expand his presence on South Africa’s broadcast landscape. PRODUCTION In addition to his work behind the decks and microphone, Luisfelipe is also a music producer, cementing his position as a multi-disciplinary creative committed to evolving electronic music culture.
