Kiniun

Music has always been my escape route, the language through which I truly connect. My journey began with sheet music, studying trombone, clarinet and trumpet, but in 2022 I found my real voice in electronic music. Behind the name Kiniun lies a constant search for sounds that move me and reflect my inner states. From my first steps in digital to the warmth of vinyl, my sets flow between deep house, minimal, tech house, techno and beyond, always rooted in a deep afro and underground sensibility. I have a profound love for the analogue world in all its forms: drum machines, synthesizers, circuits that breathe and pulse with a life of their own. I seek ancestrality in rhythm, that primal beat that unites everyone on the dance floor. Music is also the place where past, present and future coexist. A record can carry a memory, a feeling you haven't felt yet, a moment that belongs to no specific time. I am deeply immersed in software, sound design and production, and that dimension is just as alive in me as the one behind the decks. I have played at Tortuga and Astro Club, and every time I step in front of a crowd I try to transmit something real — not just energy, but emotion, intention, a story told through the records I choose. I found in music a way out of the oppressive routine we are all subjected to. Not an escape from reality, but a way to make reality bearable and meaningful. That is what I want to give to the people who listen: the same feeling of freedom and connection that music gives me. Alongside the DJ sets, I compose my own music — tracks that are still searching for their place in the world, waiting for the right moment to be heard. This side of my work is deeply intertwined with the creative partnership I share with Kali Nyx The Weird, my partner and producer. Together, as Kiniun and Kali, we are building our own sound — something that belongs to both of us and to no one else. We want the people who hear our music to feel exactly what we feel when we make it: that rare, honest emotion that only happens when everything clicks into place.
