Biography

With more than two decades of professional career, Juanma Olalla is a fundamental figure in understanding the evolution of electronic music in Granada. Founder of legendary collectives such as Frenetik Pro (2001) and Soundflower (2005), his vision was key in defining the city's sonic identity, cementing residencies in genre temples such as Industrial Copera, WOW Matinal, and Jauja during the golden decade of club sound. His current sonic identity is a hybrid architecture: an audacious fusion of industrial techno, hypnotic groove, and 90s electronic textures. In the booth, Olalla displays high-complexity technical mastery, operating an advanced four-channel (decks) setup where he fuses the analog warmth of his two Technics with the use of loops, drum machines, and a customized effects chain. This capacity for managing multiple sonic layers in real-time ensures a dynamic, organic live performance with impeccable technical force. This versatility allows him to adapt his discourse to both intimate spaces and large-scale events, having left his mark on prestigious booths such as Fabrik, Fuker Club, Metro, Revival, Danzoo, Catwalk, and Insomnia. His trajectory includes stops at emblematic venues and festivals such as Circoloco, Porto Bello, Rosco Festival, Festival de Tabernas, Etnosur, and SunCoast, among many others. This experience has allowed him to share the booth with the global techno elite, including Oscar Mulero, Ben Sims, Surgeon, Jeff Mills, Paco Osuna, and Dave Clarke, consolidating first-class musical criteria. Juanma Olalla defines his sound as pure electronics with soul: forceful, energetic, and fast-paced.
