Joseph Gomx

Joseph Gomx is a Colombian DJ and music producer born in Barranquilla, a city recognized for its cultural richness and diversity of rhythms. With a career built on a passion for electronic music, sound exploration and constant evolution, he has established himself as an artist who seeks to connect cultures, sounds and emotions through each presentation.

His interest in music began at the age of eight, a stage in which he discovered a passion that, over time, would become his life project. In 2010 he began his path in music production in a self-taught way, developing his own sound identity and delving into the creation of rhythms, structures and atmospheres capable of transmitting the energy of the dance floor.

In order to strengthen his knowledge and technique, he trained professionally at the Academy of Arts and Culture of the Caribbean of the Autonomous University of the Caribbean. His preparation, added to the experience acquired during years of work, allowed him to build an artistic proposal focused on innovation, versatility and connection with the public.

One of the most important milestones of his career came in 2014, when he was crowned champion of the Pioneer DJ Colombia Nueva Generación contest, a recognition that marked a fundamental stage in his development as a DJ and reinforced his commitment to growth within the electronic scene.

Musically, Joseph Gomx is characterized by a proposal that integrates sounds of Afro House, Tech House and Latin Tech, incorporating Afro and Latin influences that bring identity, percussion and character to his mixes and productions. His musical concept combines enveloping grooves, forceful basses, forceful rhythms and cultural elements that seek to generate a dynamic experience, with an authentic connection between the artist and the dance floor.

As a producer, he has developed music linked to record labels such as Xumba Recordings, Miami 305 Records, Rituals, Black Lizard Records, Peak Hour Music, The Vibe Arrived and Zabbination. His work includes releases such as La Noche, Vibrar en Alta, El Tambor and Latin Flow, productions that reflect his interest in exploring different nuances of electronic music without losing sight of his roots and artistic identity.

Throughout his career he has also established collaborations with artists such as DJ Padman, Alexander Zabbi and Dani Masi, expanding his creative possibilities and strengthening his presence within a musical environment in constant transformation.

Joseph Gomx's proposal goes beyond musical selection. His vision as an artist is to create experiences in which rhythm, energy and sound identity become the protagonists.
