Full bio

Jean Solano is a young Costa Rican DJ and producer focused on the sounds of House, Tech House and Minimal Deep Tech, recognized for his minimalist, groovy and immersive style on the dance floor, maintaining a distinctive proposal through vocals ranging from hip-hop to Latin rhythms.

Their artistic proposal goes beyond traditional genres, building a sound identity that fuses the energy of Tech House with marked influences from hip-hop and trap — genres that were part of their musical growth — along with a strong inspiration in the UK sound, characterized by its innovative, percussive and avant-garde approach. This combination coexists with his Latin roots, present since his childhood through sounds such as salsa, providing a unique rhythmic sensitivity and a distinctive groove in his sets and productions.

His connection with music began at an early age, influenced by genres such as R&B and hip-hop, and later inspired by artists such as Skrillex and Martin Garrix, who sparked his interest in electronic music and music production. At the age of 17 he began to develop his artistic project, exploring different genres until consolidating his own sound within the underground scene.

He debuted as a DJ in 2022 at Avalon La Cali at the age of 18, one of the most representative clubs of the electronic scene in Costa Rica, marking the beginning of his growth within the local circuit. In 2023 he signs his first productions with international labels such as BeMore Records, Dacusan Records and Sacudan Records, opening his facet as a producer.

Throughout his career he has shared the booth with national and international artists such as Lexlay and Pedro Vasconcelos, positioning himself as an emerging talent within the scene. His versatility has allowed him to perform in different clubs and prominent events in the country, as well as to be part of relevant projects such as DANCEROOM.

In 2024 he began his relationship with Topp Productions, participating in high-level events and playing a key role in warm ups for international artists. Thanks to his performance, in 2025 he consolidates himself as the promoter's resident DJ, sharing the stage with global figures such as Bastian Bux, Waff and Nacho Scoppa, among others, and performing at prominent venues such as Campo Lago, Río Campo, Mambo and Zouk.

In 2026 he expands his international projection with his first presentations outside Costa Rica, taking his sound to Medellín, where he performs in prominent spaces on the scene such as Sonorama and Kuarzo, the cultural epicenter of the renowned Comuna 13.

That same year she signed her EP "Girlie Jaja" through Distance Music, which has received the support of international artists such as Michael Bibi, Paco Osuna, Manda Moor, Harvy Valencia and Bassel Darwish, reaffirming her projection as one of the emerging talents with the greatest growth within the Costa Rican electronic scene.

With a defined sonic identity — where minimalist, urban, UK and Latin converge — and a clear artistic vision, Jean Solano continues to position himself as an artist on the rise, bringing freshness, groove and personality to each of his sets and productions.
