JARHEAD

JARHEAD is a Peruvian DJ and producer specialized in Raw Techno, Hardgroove and Hypnotic Techno. Their sound is built from immersive percussion, hypnotic repetition, powerful bass, and immersive atmospheres, combining the raw energy of contemporary techno with a meticulous approach to sound design. Influenced by '90s rave culture, industrial aesthetics, and modern underground music, his productions are driven by groove, tension, and constant evolution, rather than excess.

His relationship with music began at an early age, developing a natural curiosity that eventually led him to electronic music. In 2018 he began his path as a DJ in DJ College , where he graduated thanks to a scholarship. Realizing that DJing alone was not enough to fully express his artistic vision, he decided to deepen his musical knowledge through specialized academic training.

Between 2021 and 2025 he studied Music Production, developing a solid technical base in composition, production, mixing and mastering. During this period he explored a wide variety of genres—including rock, jazz, alternative, trip-hop, ambient, experimental, lo-fi, and chillout—an experience that broadened his musical perspective and continues to influence the depth, texture, and dynamics of his electronic productions today.

Rather than following trends, JARHEAD approaches each production with a focus on atmosphere, movement and sonic detail. Their tracks are characterized by layered rhythmic structures, punchy grooves, deep basses, industrial textures, and carefully designed transitions that generate immersive and ever-transforming experiences.

After building a solid musical foundation before fully integrating into the techno scene, he is currently focused on consolidating his presence within the Peruvian underground community while expanding his international projection through releases that reflect both technical precision and a defined artistic identity.
