JANKRLO

JANKRLØ is a Mexican DJ who builds his sets from a simple idea: each track has its own energy and you have to know how to read it. His proposal moves between reggaeton, Mexa reggaeton, house, Afro house, Latin house, dancehall and electronica. More than following a fixed list of songs, he seeks to connect sounds, recognize the moment of the audience and take them through an experience that changes rhythm without losing intensity.

His relationship with music began long before he got behind a controller. As a musician, he has explored more than ten instruments, including drums, bass, guitar, and piano. That experience influences his mixing: he pays attention to the percussion, basslines, changes in dynamics, and details that make a transition feel natural. For JANKRLØ, choosing the next song also means listening to what's happening in front of him.

Reggaeton occupies a central place in his identity. He is interested in both the strength of the songs that everyone recognizes and the attitude of Mexa reggaeton and the possibility of bringing those sounds to house or electronica. In his sets, genres coexist without the need to stay in one all night. He can open space for a warmer groove, raise the intensity with Latin rhythms or take the track to a more direct and explosive moment. His goal is for each change to make sense and keep people connected.

That flexibility also comes from a broad creative career. In addition to DJing, JANKRLØ works in graphic design, photography and video editing. That's why he understands his project as an audiovisual identity: he cares about how a set sounds, but also the image that accompanies it. His aesthetic takes references from the club, the metallic shine and the visual culture of the two thousands, with a personality that seeks to feel his own in each flyer, visual and presentation.

His way of working is based on the type of event and the people who will be there. Before playing, he is interested in knowing the atmosphere he wants to create; during the set, he observes how the track responds and adjusts the route. There are moments to surprise, others to let a song breathe and others to release just the theme that everyone was waiting for. That reading of the audience allows him to play in an open format without losing the character of JANKRLØ.

In the booth he brings together two facets that define him: that of the musician who listens to the details and that of the creative who thinks about the complete experience.
