Full bio

IS4X is a DJ and producer originally from Aguascalientes, Mexico, whose proposal is born from a constant search to explore the unknown, break with established structures and build his own identity within electronic music. His project represents a need to constantly evolve, not to remain tied to a single formula and to transform each new stage into an opportunity to discover a different facet of his sound.

From their first approaches to electronic music, IS4X found in underground culture a space where creativity is not limited by labels, trends or expectations. For him, underground represents much more than a scene or a genre: it is a philosophy based on the freedom to experiment, on the search for different sounds and on the possibility of building something of one's own from scratch. This perspective has become one of the fundamental pillars of his artistic identity.

Their proposal moves between the power of Bass House, Techno and Jungle Terror, incorporating elements from different currents of electronic music and experimental sounds to develop an experience difficult to define by a single label. IS4X understands music as an open space in which different influences can coexist, transform and give rise to something new.

Their sound is characterized by forceful bass, intense rhythms, marked percussions, dark atmospheres and unexpected changes that maintain a constant sense of movement. However, energy is only part of their proposal. Behind each selection, transition and production there is an intention: to build a narrative that takes the audience from one moment to the next without knowing exactly what will happen next.

For IS4X, a DJ set isn't just about playing songs. It is an experience that must have personality, dynamics and purpose. Each presentation represents the possibility of building something unrepeatable, adapting to the space, the audience and the moment to generate an authentic connection with the dance floor. Improvisation, exploration and the ability to go beyond what is expected are fundamental elements within their way of understanding a presentation.

Throughout its growth within the local scene, IS4X has had the opportunity to perform in different spaces in Aguascalientes, building experience in front of diverse audiences and environments. Among the places where he has taken his proposal are Barra Baila, Disco Radar and Not A Bank, stages that have been part of his development as a DJ and have allowed him to experiment with different dance floor dynamics, styles and energy levels.

Each performance has represented an opportunity to test their identity and better understand the relationship between their music and the audience. From intimate spaces to stages with a higher concentration of attendees, IS4X has sought to maintain one constant: to offer dynamic, unpredictable and energetic sets.

One of the most important moments in his career so far came with the opportunity to participate as a warm-up DJ at the Aguascalientes Skull Festival, one of the most representative events in the city. Being part of this festival meant an important step for the project, allowing her to transfer her proposal to a broader context and share her music with a much wider audience.

The warm-up experience also represented a different challenge. Opening a scenario implies understanding that the objective is not only to demonstrate one's own energy, but to build the right environment for what comes next. Knowing how to read the audience, manage the intensity and create a natural transition to the next artist are fundamental skills for any DJ, and this experience became an important piece within IS4X's professional development.

Beyond the recognition that having been part of the Skull Festival represents, this experience reinforced one of the central ideas of the project: each stage is an opportunity to grow and take the proposal one step further.

For IS4X, an achievement does not represent an endpoint. It represents the beginning of a new goal.

Their philosophy is based on a clear premise: don't do the same thing twice.

In a scene where trends can change quickly and where many proposals end up following similar formulas, IS4X seeks to keep moving. Their goal is not to find a definitive formula, but to constantly question what already works and ask what they can do differently. Each new production, each new set and each new stage of the project are part of that reinvention process.

This search is also reflected in his relationship with music production. For IS4X, producing means experimenting. It is a process of trial, error, and discovery in which an idea can be transformed several times before finding its final form. Sounds can change, structures can be broken, and genres can be mixed together until you find a direction that truly represents the creative moment you're in.

Rather than pursuing a completely rigid sonic identity, IS4X seeks to build a recognizable identity through evolution. Their sound may change over time, but there is a constant behind each stage: the intention to create something that feels their own, intense and different.

Among his main influences are artists who have shown that electronic music can constantly evolve and break down barriers between genres. References such as Skrillex, Apashe, ISOxo and Knock2 are part of the musical universe that has influenced his perspective, especially for his ability to combine energy, sound design, innovation and a solid artistic identity. However, these influences do not represent a point of arrival, but a starting point to continue developing a personal proposal.

IS4X seeks to take the energy that characterizes bass music, the forcefulness of the club, the tension of techno and the aggressiveness of Jungle Terror to take these elements to their own territory. His intention is not to replicate sounds that already exist, but to learn from them, transform them and use them as tools to build something new.

The aesthetics of the project are also based on this philosophy.

IS4X finds inspiration in the dark, the raw, the industrial and the unexpected. There is an intention to build a visual identity that accompanies the music and that conveys the same sense of mystery, energy and creative freedom that characterizes their sets. Music and image are not separate elements, but parts of the same artistic universe.

Within this universe, the conventional represents precisely what IS4X seeks to question. It is not a matter of rejecting everything established for the simple fact of making it different, but of understanding the rules to later decide which ones are worth breaking. Experimentation thus becomes a tool to discover new possibilities and find paths that are not necessarily obvious from the beginning.

Her project was born in Aguascalientes, a city that is a fundamental part of her identity. From there, IS4X seeks to develop a proposal that can connect with the local scene and, at the same time, project itself towards new spaces and audiences. Growing from a local scene represents for him an opportunity to build a community around his music, share new ideas and demonstrate that proposals with an identity capable of transcending borders can emerge from any point.

Aguascalientes represents the starting point, but not the limit.

The experience gained in local stages and participation in more far-reaching events have allowed IS4X to continue to understand what kind of artist he wants to be. Each presentation has contributed to developing greater safety behind the booth, a better reading of the audience and a clearer vision of how to build a set that has its own identity.

Live, this philosophy takes on a different dimension.

An IS4X set seeks to generate an experience that goes beyond a simple succession of tracks. The intention is to create tension, release energy, change direction and keep the audience attentive to what is happening. The moments of greatest intensity coexist with transition spaces that allow you to build expectation and prepare the ground for the next blow.

The dance floor becomes a space for experimentation.

Each audience responds differently, each venue has a different energy and each moment requires a specific reading. That's why IS4X doesn't understand its presentations as a completely closed structure. Although there is preparation behind each set, there is also a space for improvisation and adaptation. The ability to read the track and respond to it is an essential part of your proposal.

The ultimate goal is to generate a sensation: that during the time that the set lasts, the audience can disconnect from everyday life and enter a different universe.

To achieve this, IS4X relies on a musical selection that can move between different energy levels. The Bass House provides forcefulness and groove; Techno introduces tension, hypnotic repetition and depth; the Jungle Terror adds an aggressive attitude and unexpected elements. The combination of these worlds allows you to build dynamic sets that do not depend on a single formula.

This freedom also allows the project to continue to grow.
