HEYDER THE VOICE Sauce & Flavor
HEYDER LA VOZ is a Colombian singer, songwriter and performer who has been living salsa from the inside for more than two decades. Trained in the school of salsa de raíz, the Fania era and Puerto Rican and New York traditions, he has built a stage identity where hard salsa, romantic salsa and tropical flavor meet a contemporary energy designed for today's audiences.
Her professional history began in 2003 with Orquesta Yembe, with which she made her first album, Tanta deseos de ella. Since then, his journey has taken him to different groups and projects of the salsa scene, including La Identidad, Alfredito Linares and his International Orchestra, Tropivalle and Pintura Fresca, as well as the Orquesta del Festival Leyendas de la Salsa de Medellín and Salsa Cabaret, linked to El Mulato and his Latin Swing.
Throughout his career he has musically accompanied figures such as Luisito Carrión, Cano Estremera, Luigi Texidor, José Mangual Jr. and Lalo Rodríguez, and has alternated on stages with Latin music references such as Andy Montañez, Ismael Miranda, José Alberto "El Canario", Willie Colón, El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico and Eddie Palmieri.
His stage career includes great meetings of Colombian music and culture such as the Cali Fair, Manizales Fair, Flower Fair, Salsa al Parque, Carnival of Blacks and Whites, Corferias and the Legends of Salsa Festival, as well as presentations in clubs, discos and private events in different cities of the country.
His music and his show have also crossed borders. He has taken his proposal to Panama, Ecuador, Brazil and Peru, with presentations that include the Fiestas de la Colombianidad in Panama, the Fiestas del Mar in Esmeraldas and salsa stages and festivals in Ecuador.
One of the most important international chapters of his career came with Royal Caribbean, where he served as Latin headliner, bringing his show to multicultural audiences and touring more than 20 countries. That experience broadened his vision of entertainment and consolidated his ability to connect with audiences from different cultures and scenarios.
But HEYDER LA VOZ does not understand tradition as a place to stay.
Its next chapter is born from a question: what happens when a generation formed with the salsa of Fania, Puerto Rico and New York decides to bring that essence to the sound language of the new generations?
From there comes his vision of Next Generation Salsa: an evolution that respects the clave, the tumbao, the energy and the identity of salsa, while exploring its encounter with elements of EDM, electronic music, afrohouse and afrobeat. It is not about replacing salsa, but about opening up new dance floors, new stages and new audiences.
This vision becomes a stage experience adaptable to different markets and productions: Orquesta Completa, Banda Lite and Latin Fusion, a DJ + live voice + percussion format designed especially for clubs, discos, festivals and events looking for a contemporary Latin experience.
On stage, in addition to his vocal and performative work, he integrates live percussion, including bell and bongo, and can incorporate digital production tools such as Ableton Live, stems and loops, creating a bridge between the organic energy of a Latin band and the possibilities of electronic production.
As a songwriter, HEYDER THE VOICE is directly involved in the creation of his songs. He develops concepts, stories, and melodic lines, defines artistic intent, and works alongside arrangers and producers to turn those ideas into finished productions. Their catalog includes the album We Are Not Crazy, We Know What We Want, made up of seven songs.
His career also includes participation in the musical reality show A Otro Nivel, interviews in national and international media and a recognition received in his hometown, Buga, Valle del Cauca, by the municipal administration.
In parallel, her vocal experience extends to voiceover and audio production projects, developed under La Voz Project, with voice-over work, jingles and voice production.
HEYDER LA VOZ represents a generation of artists who know the tradition because they have lived it, not because they have studied it from the outside. His proposal is based on the salsa that formed him, goes through more than 20 years of international stages and experiences and points towards a new frontier: to make the flavor of salsa feel inevitable again on the dance floors of the world.
Deep roots. Today's energy. Sound for what's to come.
