Heard Chef

Heard Chef is a DJ/ Producer group based out of Portland, Maine. Originally starting as a trio of cooks working at Highroller Lobster Company, the trio played together for the first time in December of 2023. Starting off as just a fun hobby, the group soon found a synergy that pushed them to pursue a project. After seeing some early success, with appearances across the Portland underground scene, the group separated with one member and took some time to prepare for the new stage in their journey. This is where the food became the focus of the project, people often neglect their bodies at these events, and they made it their mission to ensure the community was happy and healthy at their events. Every event from then on had a dish cooked by the chefs, something new each time, something memorable. In 2025, the first Heard Chef Cookout took place at As Above So Below Music Festival in Maine, an outdoors event where the food was cooked at the same time as they cooked on the decks, handing out food for free, and truly feeling like the project has been successful. Fast forward to 2026, the second cookout, an all day event, a full menu, burgers and dogs for free, high quality dishes for purchase, an all original set, Gordon Ramsey screaming obscenities over dubstep. They truly have found their niche, and it's a beautiful thing to see. Unfortunately as things scale up, the idea of feeding everyone at every show becomes less and less realistic, and after one member recently moving to Philly as a wedding DJ, the duo made the decision to lean more into the brand and production, and less into the food. with not much available on streaming platforms, the future is looking very bright for Heard Chef. the release strategy is in place, the archive is being unveiled, and this is only the beginning for the duo. the past has been fruitful, the biggest achievements so far have been appearances at Elements Music Festival, As Above So Below Festival, The Cantab Lounge, Low End Insight Radio, and Rewind 140 Radio. Countless underground, undisclosed locations, and even some multi-genre appearances, including DJing for OystahGuy's opening slot for RA the Rugged Man.
