Robbert van de Corput, known worldwide as Hardwell, is one of the most influential artists in the history of electronic dance music (EDM). Born in Breda, the Netherlands (the same hometown of his mentor, Tiësto), he began his musical career at a very young age, signing his first record deal at just 14 years old.
His definitive leap to global fame came in the early 2010s. With the release of her iconic "Show Me Love vs. Be" and monumental hits like "Spaceman" and "Apollo," Hardwell became the main architect of the Big Room House sound. His unmatched energy on stage led him to be crowned the world's No. 1 DJ by DJ Mag magazine in two consecutive years (2013 and 2014), being at the time the youngest artist to achieve it.
In addition to his success in the booths, Hardwell is an industry visionary. In 2010 he founded his own record label, Revealed Recordings, and his acclaimed radio show "Hardwell On Air". Both platforms have been instrumental in defining the sound of a generation and boosting the careers of countless emerging talents. During this golden era, their sets at festivals such as Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival and EDC broke audience records, becoming the most viewed live videos in the history of electronic music.
After years of intense world tours (including his monumental "I Am Hardwell" tour), in the fall of 2018 he announced an indefinite retirement from the stage to focus on his personal life and rediscover his passion in the studio.
The break culminated in epic fashion in March 2022, when Hardwell returned as a surprise guest to close the Ultra Music Festival in Miami. With this historic return, he presented his studio album Rebels Never Die and an aggressive evolution in his style, introducing a darker, more avant-garde and forceful sound: Big Room Techno. Today, Hardwell remains a dominant force and an unwavering pillar in global dance culture.
