After losing his best friend, Robin, Hanging Cloud searched for a way to process grief that words alone could not describe. Music became that language. Every finished track became another chapter in a story that continues to this day. While the pain of losing Robin will never completely disappear, it became the driving force behind a project dedicated to transforming darkness into creativity. That emotional foundation still defines Hanging Cloud today. His productions are inspired by the contrast between light and darkness, nostalgia and modernity, melancholy and euphoria. Rather than following trends, he focuses on creating music with a timeless character—tracks that feel just as powerful on headphones during a solitary walk as they do through a massive festival sound system at sunrise. Vintage synthesizers play a central role in his creative process. Their warmth, imperfections, and character help shape a signature sound that blends classic electronic influences with contemporary production techniques. Analog-inspired textures meet hard-hitting drums, distorted basslines, hypnotic acid sequences, and cinematic atmospheres to create music that is both emotionally engaging and club-ready. Although Hard Techno and Acid Techno are at the heart of the project, Hanging Cloud refuses to be limited by genre boundaries. Influences from Trap, Dark Trap, Phonk, Hip-Hop, ambient music, and film scores naturally find their way into his productions. This openness allows every release to develop its own identity while remaining unmistakably part of the same artistic vision.
