Griva Music

Born and raised in the heart of Medellín, Grivani Idarraga—known artistically as Griva Music—has had music in his veins since he was a bald man. Long before he got into a DJ booth, he was already feeling the warmth of the audience at the age of 9 playing the cornet and trumpet in a musical band. A little bit of everything resounded in his ears: from the trance and electronic bombs of legends such as Armin van Buuren, Paul van, Tiësto, Carl Cox and Daft Punk, to the strength of alternative rock and nu punk of Linkin Park, Blink-182 and Limp Bizkit.

That curiosity for music continued to grow. In 2019 he officially jumped into the water as a DJ and by 2024, he decided to get fully into his room to create his own sound identity as a producer and creator of unique mashups.

Today, Griva Music has found its own stamp through the warm, organic and contagious rhythms of Afro House, feeding its sound with the influences of heavyweights such as Black Coffee, Maz, Keinemusik, Francis Mercier and Hugel. What sounds in their sets is a fine mix of groove, elegance and pure flavor.

On the street and on the dance floors, they already know what the return is like: Griva has left his mark in the bullrings of Medellín, where he had a one-year residency (2023) on the iconic Rooftop of the Manila Hotel in El Poblado, in addition to getting the party going at La Malandrina Bar, Brecha Social Club and other temples of local rumba. His music has also reverberated in Bogotá and crossed the pond to Madrid, Spain.

With three official releases playing loud and the energy at its peak behind the decks, Griva Music proves that electronic music made from a paisa's room can make anyone dance in any corner of the world. Pure dancing and good groove!
