GrandmasterFlesh

Ximo Amat aka Grandmaster Flesh, was born in Valencia Son of a family that was already flirting with music and show business back in the 60s. His parents made him a recipient of hits on singles that he played on his briefcase turntable. Vinyl records by Rod Stewart, Jackson Five, Elvis, Cherry Laine, Anita Ward, or Amanda Lear were filmed on that device Already in the 80's he discovered the incredible power of synths, drum machines, electronic drums, and the groups that handled them with absolute skill. With the rise of the clubs in Valencia he always knew that he wanted to handle the decks, and he listened carefully to the pilots of the cockpits of the time. His style combines the house of the Chicago school, the acid that he didn't drink when he went around, and tropical rhythms. He achieves frenetic mixes, absolutely danceable because he conceives the dance floor with that sole purpose.
