Gianpy

Gianpy is the alias of Gianpaul Pompermaier, a Chilean-Venezuelan-Argentine DJ and producer whose relationship with music began long before formally entering the electronic scene. He grew up in Venezuela surrounded by parties, at his parents' venue, where from the age of 9 he began to approach the booth and experiment with music. Electronic music was present since his adolescence, but it was in 2022, during a trip to Mendoza, when he discovered a party scene more deeply linked to electronic culture and understood that he wanted to be on the other side of the booth: bringing the night.

Shortly after, his first controller arrived and with it the beginning of a project that today continues to develop between the track, production and the creation of experiences.

Their sound is currently at the convergence between Tech House, UK Garage, Deep House and Acid House, with a special fascination for acid textures, hi-hats and groove. Their sets are characterized by a careful and dynamic selection, where the vocals appear as a precise resource and the reading of the track is fundamental. Their intention is clear: to make people dance, generate euphoria, build tension and surprise, taking the audience through different moments without ever losing the groove.

Throughout his career he has performed in spaces such as Club Room, Onaciu, Club Dominga, Club Siete of the W Hotel, La Suite de Chicureo, Club Space and the Mistral Room of Club La Feria, in addition to performing in Mendoza and in different regions of Chile. He has shared the booth with artists such as Sangre China, Gabs, Montero, Othello, Paip kings, Delamaza and Felipe Jeld, and has developed sets of up to eight hours, exploring the dance floor from a long-format perspective.

At the same time, Gianpy is the founder of Velvet Theater, a project he created together with Sangre China and Montero. From there he develops functions of booking, production, DJ, lighting and marketing strategy, participating in the construction of a proposal that seeks to represent "elegant euphoria" and a minimalist baroque concept. Velvet was born with the intention of giving back to the party an identity and, above all, the ability to leave a memory.

He is currently also developing his facet as a music producer with the Argentine DJ and producer Matías Larrosa, exploring a new stage of his sound identity.

Gianpy's goal goes beyond consolidating himself as a DJ within the local scene. He seeks to build a name with international projection and, at the same time, develop his own community: an audience from the eastern sector of Santiago that knows electronic culture, seeks underground proposals and finds in the big names a gateway, but that also demands an identity, an experience and a space of its own within the scene.
