Full bio

Gabriel Fiori, is a 21-year-old DJ and producer from Media Agua, San Juan, Argentina. From a very young age he was connected to electronic music. It wasn't something temporary, it was something that was already generating real things for him, although at the time he had no idea how far he was going to go. I always wanted to dedicate myself to this. I literally had it in my head all the time, insisting, looking for the form, bothering with the idea until somehow it started to take shape. It could have started much earlier, but it had neither the means nor the support to do so. For a long time it was more of an idea than a reality. Until that changed. Today my family supports me and accompanies me on this path, something that was key to being able to take the step and take it seriously. At the end of 2024 it will start production. At that time I didn't have the possibility of being a DJ because I didn't have equipment, so I found in production a way to get into the world that he always liked. That's when he begins to learn, to make mistakes, to try, and to get more and more involved. Over time I entered the Arjaus academy, where he began to organize all that learning and to better understand what he was doing. I work mainly at Ableton Live, where I build my sound from scratch. Then my first controller arrived, an XDJ-RX, and then I began to get fully into what I always wanted: the cockpit. I started playing at small parties in my town, Media Agua, where I gained confidence and experience. Over time I began to have bigger opportunities: I did warm-ups for well-known artists from their province and I got to play in after-parties of important parties in San Juan, something that I feel like my real debut, beyond everything I had already been doing. My path wasn't direct, but I feel like it was real. Today, my approach is clearer. I'm very into hardgroove and more hypnotic techno, with a strong influence from artists like Yanamaste. Although I had a stage more linked to peak time, now I am looking for something different: a darker, more mental sound, but at the same time making you move no matter what. My way of playing depends a lot on the moment. He is not someone who plays music for the sake of playing. When I'm in techno mode, I look for each track to really hit hard, with kicks and bass that feel on the body. I care a lot about the bass, the pressure of the sound, that physical feeling. On the other hand, when I get more into hardgroove or hypnotic, the approach changes: I look for dynamism, constant movement, groove. I pay a lot of attention to the basses, the synths, the drums, how everything flows. The idea is that the track never falls, that there is a constant journey. In production, I have already managed to release tracks on labels such as Hungry Koala Records, Hyggelits Records, Stoner Series by Redlof Records and Bunshin Records, something that for me is a giant step and that began to give me recognition within the local scene. But if there's one thing that really defines me, it's not just style, but what I seek to generate. Every track I choose is because something happens to it. Because it generates a real emotion in me. And my goal is simple but strong: that people feel the same way I feel when music is playing. Happiness, energy, connection, that moment where the body responds on its own and you don't think about anything else. That absolute enjoyment that makes you jump, move or simply get lost in the sound. I'm not just looking for people to listen to music. I want him to live it. And beyond everything, my goal is clear: to dedicate myself to this. I've already started, I'm already on the road, and there's no chance I'll leave it. Later we will see how far it goes, but what he does know is that music is already part of my life and I don't plan to let it go.
