FREJA

FREJA (stage name of Carmen Siracusa) is an emerging DJ, musician and composer from Italy. Her passion for music comes from her parents, and since she was a child she has studied music theory and practice. At the age of 16 he began his studies at the conservatory, focusing on the classical accordion and musical composition. At 18, her musical tastes changed and she developed an interest in the electric guitar, which led her to explore electronic sounds. After a period of studies in Tarragona and Barcelona, influenced by Spanish music, she was attracted to Techno and trance/hardtrance. Inspired by the sounds of the late 90s and early 2000s, she began to define her musical style, fusing acid sounds with nostalgic elements reminiscent of trance classics. For FREJA, music should arouse emotions, and that is the goal of his DJ sets. Since the beginning of 2024, her career as a DJ and producer has gained traction in southern Italy, especially in urban centers such as Palermo, where electronic music is finding its space. Her most recent professional project is the founding of the radio collective "prima o poi music", together with two other artists. The collective organizes events in Italy and promotes emerging talents, with special attention to women and the LGBTQ+ community. He recently performed in Madrid at a Cold Cues event, thus expanding his presence on the international electronic music scene. Currently, her personal artistic project is looking for a space in Spain.
