Full bio

Hello, I'm El Santi Agudelo and I want to tell you a little bit of the story behind this name.

I was born in Medellín, the capital of perreo, and grew up in Comuna 13, surrounded by a culture where music always had a special place. From a very young age I fell in love with urban sounds, especially dancehall, ragga and, of course, reggaeton. Music that I didn't just listen to: I lived it, felt it and little by little it became part of my identity.

My story in the media began in 2007, when I took my first steps as an announcer and collaborator in Energía 97.9. It was a special time for urban music: reggaeton was growing strong and an entire generation was discovering new artists, new sounds and a new way of experiencing music.

In 2009 a new stage arrived. I was part of the program "Las Nuevas Energías", a space where until 2012 we had the opportunity to present and discover many of the successes that marked that time. Those were years in which I learned to know music beyond listening to it: to understand its artists, its sounds, its evolution and, above all, what it meant to those who listened to it.

While my path in radio was progressing, in 2010 my story as a DJ officially began, working as a resident in crossover and urban clubs. It was behind a console and in front of a dance floor that I discovered another way to communicate with people: through music.

In 2011, I was the event DJ for the concert of Wisin & Yandel, Franco El Gorila, Jowell & Randy, and Tego Calderón.

In 2012, my experience and knowledge led me to La Z Urbana, where I had the opportunity to be part of programs such as El Desayuno, El Recreo, Reggaeton Sin Límites and El Origen del Reggaeton until 2020.

They were fundamental years to understand that my thing was not simply to play music. It was to know it, live it, share it and tell the stories that exist behind it.

And after several years on the road, in 2022 a new opportunity came to reconnect with the radio. I was part of Brutal 91.9 Medellín, where I had the opportunity to present programs such as Los Clásicos Brutales, La Playlist Brutal and El Tardeo.

It was a very special stage because it allowed me to connect again with that generation that grew up listening to the radio, waiting for a song, recording music on CDs and discovering new sounds through the stations, but also with a younger generation that today lives music in a completely different way.

It's been almost two decades since my first steps. Stations, platforms, formats, artists and the way of consuming music have changed. But there is one thing that remains exactly the same:

my passion for urban music.

Today I am still that pelao from Comuna 13 who found in music a way to express himself, only now I have more stories to tell, more experiences to share and a new generation to whom I want to transmit everything I learned during these years.

I'm Santi Agudelo.

* Announcer * DJ * Passionate about urban culture * Reggaeton storyteller

Because some of us knew reggaeton when it was still recorded on CDs, listened to on the radio and the premiere of a song could become the topic of conversation for a whole week.

Before reggaeton was a trend, we were already there.
