ELLICH
Amsterdam is where it started inside the hardgroove scene, in warehouses built on repetition. But it was Barcelona that pulled Ellich further under: a city of late nights, where crate-digging became a warm afternoon ritual, and vinyl started to feel less like a dream and more like a language. "I thought it was just an Amsterdam phase. Then came the first visit to Studio Stereo, and I realized I gave up on my passion too quickly." Not long after, vinyl came into the picture, learned on friend's turntables. Six months in, the first hybrid set happened.
That pull toward sound and community led to Fjaka, a collective born in Croatia and carried by the same instinct for the underground. Ellich opened its Barcelona branch, stretching the collective's reach from Croatia and Madrid into Catalonia. The sets move through deep jungle, breakbeat, and deep house , shaped as much by Barcelona's record stores and its artists as by anything learned in a booth.
Fjaka now moves through Croatia, Madrid, and Barcelona. Selected performances: Croatia · Amsterdam · Studio Stereo (Barcelona) · G Spot (Barcelona)· MAD Radio Barcelona · Negro Rojo (Barcelona) · Salva Discos (Barcelona) · UNREC
