Full bio

DJ Tonicos, Nicolás Lizama. DJ from Teruel passionate about music, events and, above all, getting each celebration to have its own personality.

My goal is simple: that music is not simply something that plays in the background, but an important part of the experience. Each event is different and that is why I do not work with a closed session that serves for everything. I adapt to the type of celebration, the audience, the time of the night and, of course, what the attendees want to hear.

I work mainly in the province of Teruel, Zaragoza and surroundings, moving wherever there is a desire to celebrate. I do sessions for weddings, birthdays, private parties, evenings, day and night parties, open-air dances, patron saint festivities, events in bars and restaurants, festivals and different types of celebrations.

My musical style is very broad and adapts to the audience. I can start a session with Spanish pop and rock, continue with great hits, classics that everyone knows and commercial music, and progressively take the track towards more danceable styles such as reggaeton, dembow, bachata, afrohouse, dance, techno, makina or remember. I also like to work with covers and edits that add a different touch to well-known songs, looking for the session to have rhythm and evolution.

One of the things I like most about DJing is reading the track. It's not just about preparing a tracklist, but about observing what's working at any given moment and making decisions on the fly. There are events where the audience asks for classics for hours and others where the track asks for commercial, reggaeton or electronic music. That's why I try to make each session dynamic and that the music evolves along with the party.

I also give a lot of importance to requests. If you have a song you want to hear, a special song for a specific moment or you just want a song you love to play, you can ask me. In a celebration there are songs that have a special meaning for someone and I like to be able to incorporate them into the session.

For me, being a DJ is not just about pressing play and changing songs. Prior preparation is also part of the job. Before each event I try to know the type of celebration, the audience, the schedules, the space and the musical preferences. This way I can prepare a selection that makes sense for the event, but always maintaining the necessary freedom to improvise and adapt to what happens during the party.

In WEDDINGS, for example, I understand that music has to accompany each stage of the celebration. The atmosphere during the cocktail party is not the same as the moment of the entrance to the banquet, the opening of the ball or the after-party. That's why I can adapt the music and the atmosphere to each moment, from a quieter and more elegant selection to a much livelier session when it comes time to fill the floor.

In BIRTHDAYS and PRIVATE PARTIES, I look for something different: that the protagonists and their guests enjoy a party made to measure. I can combine current songs with classics, songs that recall different eras and styles that allow people of different ages to find their moment during the night.

In TARDEOS and DAY PARTIES, I can also completely adapt the session. From Spanish pop and rock to electronic versions, commercial music, bachata, reggaeton, dembow and dance, seeking to maintain a lively atmosphere without having to start directly with the most intense styles.

In OPEN-AIR DANCES, PATRON SAINT FESTIVITIES and VILLAGE EVENTS, variety is even more important. In these cases I like to build the session progressively, starting with recognizable and danceable music and increasing the intensity as the night progresses. Depending on the audience and the atmosphere, the session can go through Spanish pop, rock, electronic versions, commercial music, reggaeton, dembow, international rock, techno dance, remember, makina or more forceful sounds.

In addition to the music, I am interested in the staging being at the height of the event. The booth, lighting and effects help to create the atmosphere and make the experience much more complete. I work with sound and lighting equipment and I can adapt the set-up to the characteristics and needs of each celebration, being able to incorporate different elements and effects depending on the space, budget and type of event.

I currently have a sound system based on two Behringer DR115DSP and different lighting elements to create a dynamic staging. I can also consider incorporating more sound material, lighting or effects when the characteristics of the event require it, either by renting or expanding the set-up.

I like to take special care of the image of the booth. I believe that a DJ should not only sound good, but also offer a visual presence in line with the event. That's why I'm progressively developing my own image for DJ Tonicos, with lighting, structures, visual elements and a recognizable aesthetic.

Although my project is still growing, I am eager to continue learning, improve in each event and make each celebration better than the last. Each gig is an opportunity to gain experience, meet new audiences and discover what works best in different types of events.

My way of working is based on closeness, adaptation and the desire to make people enjoy. Before the event I like to listen to what the client is looking for, solve doubts and prepare the music taking into account their preferences. During the celebration, my job is to be aware of the atmosphere and ensure that the music accompanies every moment.

I don't think there's a perfect playlist for every event. The perfect music is the one that works for the people in front of the booth at the time.

Therefore, if you are looking for a DJ for a wedding, birthday, private party, afternoon, verbena, patron saint's party, company event, restaurant, festival or any other celebration, you can tell me what you have in mind and we will see together how to approach it.

I work mainly in the province of Teruel or Zaragoza and surroundings, although I can consider moving to other areas.

Do you have a date, a place and an idea for your event? Write to me and tell me what you are preparing. We can talk without obligation about the type of music, schedule, set-up, lighting and everything you need to create a party adapted to you.
