Marco Detroit: 27 Years of Excellence in DJing and Music Production Marco Detroit is a DJ, music producer, and audiovisual experience creator with an impressive 27-year artistic career. Recognized as one of Venezuela’s top five DJs and a true icon of the country’s electronic music scene, he has built a solid reputation as one of the most respected and versatile talents in the industry. His name is synonymous with excellence, showmanship, and constant evolution. His artistic vision stands out through majestic live performances, seamlessly integrating musicians, vocalists, and performers to create immersive experiences where music, energy, and visual production merge. Marco blends original productions with innovative versions of global hits, delivering high-impact, avant-garde shows full of adrenaline. In Caracas, he held residencies at iconic venues such as Goal, Riskos Café, and Prive Sensorial Bar, and was part of the prestigious DJ Service team led by DJ and CEO Oscar Leal. He pioneered the Riskos Beach concept and was resident at Bora Bora Higuerote, setting trends in Venezuela’s beach scene. On Margarita Island, he left a lasting mark with residencies at Señor Frog’s, Kamy Beach, La Covacha, and Bora Bora Margarita, achieving 13 consecutive years of success during Easter and summer seasons, performing for thousands. Internationally and in the United States, Marco has held residencies at high-profile venues such as Cantina La 20 and Cuz Miami, continuing his tradition of turning each performance into an unforgettable experience. In the underground scene, he moves fluidly between deep house, funky, organic, afro, melodic, and tech house, while in the mainstream arena he masterfully commands EDM, open format, hip-hop, and Latin music, adapting to any audience. Marco has participated in fashion shows for designers like Raenra and was the musical director for Andartu’s official launch, a brand linked to Miss Venezuela, for which he also composed the official single. A career milestone was his headline debut at the Poliedro de Caracas, alongside Oscar Leal and DJane Drea, in an event featuring Flo Rida. He also performed during the televised opening of the Pepsi Music Awards with his track “Feel You”, and in 2017, presented a category alongside Auri Castillo and Gonzalo Córdova. Since 2016, he has been a jury member and active participant of the Pepsi Music Academy, promoting electronic music within the Venezuelan industry. His versatility led him to join the international show “Fuerza Bruta”, performing as the official DJ during its sold-out Caracas season. On television, he appeared in the youth series “La Calle de los Sueños” (Laura Visconti Productions, Venevisión), playing the resident DJ. In 2012, he performed at Viva la Música, the largest-attended music event in Venezuelan history (217,000 people), held at La Carlota Air Base alongside Rubén Blades, the Venezuelan Symphony Orchestra, and Gustavo Dudamel, marking a pivotal moment in his career. Marco is also committed to social causes, having collaborated with foundations such as Grant’s Crusade (Pamela Dadgen), Los Buenos Somos Más (Caterina Valentino), Vamos Bien (Swarm Miami), and Ismael Cala Foundation, among others. He has performed at events organized by the embassies of the UK, Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, and Indonesia, and at major festivals and branded events including Rush, Do Not Disturb, Viva by Nacho, Boogie Nights, Seven Club, La Cucaracha Tour, Orca Tour, Blast the House, Magic Music Fest, Centralia, Spanglish Club, and his own Detroit Experience. At Expo DJ Venezuela, the country’s most important electronic music cultural festival, Marco made a powerful debut during the second edition, closing the event to massive success.
