DjLevel up

Biography I am Vuyisani Mtati, professionally known as DJ LevelUp. My musical journey began in the vibrant city of Grahamstown in the Eastern Cape, but my passion for DJing was truly ignited during my varsity days in 2002, inspired by the sounds of legendary house DJs. While I have built a successful 16-year career as an Engineering professional, music has always been my parallel passion. I started honing my craft in 2005 with virtual DJ software at CPUT, playing for small on-campus events. This early start laid the foundation for a dual career that allows me to bring a unique energy to the booth. Today, I channel my love for music into creating unforgettable experiences during evenings and weekends. Since 2022, I have brought my eclectic sound to venues like Tigers Milk and Laparada as a guest DJ. My residency journey has seen me behind the decks at the prestigious Cape Grace hotel's Bascule bar, and I am currently a resident DJ at the iconic Hard Rock Cafe. Whether in a restaurant, hotel, wedding, or private party, my goal is to read the room and elevate every moment. Looking ahead, my vision extends beyond the turntables. I aspire to establish my own record label, creating a hub to mentor and support aspiring young DJs, helping the next generation find their rhythm and voice, just as I found mine.
