DJ Karlos began his career as a DJ in 1998, when, like so many other passionate about electronic music, he began to experiment and mix from home. Those first steps would end up becoming a career linked for decades to club culture and, especially, to the sounds that marked the 90s and early 2000s.
One of his first important moments after starting to play came at the Paladium nightclub in Madrid, as part of the Xcándalo party. At that time he was also part of the web project El Tentaculum, a platform linked to that musical culture and which represented an important part of his early years on the scene.
Over time, DJ Karlos has taken his sessions to different venues and events, including Xcándalo, Splass, Ministry, Cava, Next, Go Back and Patones Remember. His career has also been linked to radio, participating in stations and programs such as MQM Dance, PlayTrance and Espacio 4 FM.
Throughout these years he has had the opportunity to share booth and projects with artists such as DJ Napo, Christian Millán, DJ Marta, DJ Neil, Rafa XL, Carlos VK, Suze among others, being part of a scene that has contributed to keeping the culture of electronic music and Remember alive.
His musical identity is especially linked to the Remember of the 90s and 2000s, covering genres such as Italo Dance, Dance, Techno, Progressive and Trance. However, his vision is not limited to looking back. For DJ Karlos, knowing and respecting the music he grew up with is compatible with discovering current productions and exploring new sounds.
In 2022 he began a new stage by also starting in music production, with no previous experience and from scratch. In a short time he began to build his own catalog of productions, including "I Try to Find", "Solar Groove", "Sunshine At Sunny Days" and "This Way". His music is available on platforms such as Beatport, Spotify and YouTube, as well as being part of his sessions and content published on platforms such as iVoox and YouTube.
One of his greatest achievements as a producer has been getting established DJs to incorporate his productions into their sessions and make them sound in front of large audiences and festivals. As a DJ, one of the most important milestones of his career has been being able to perform in front of thousands of people, taking his particular vision of music to large stages.
In 2019 he also became one of the founders of Frikis del Remember, a project born with the intention of sharing and vindicating a musical culture that is part of the life of an entire generation. For DJ Karlos, Remember is not only about recovering songs from the past: it is a way of life, of keeping alive the music he grew up with and, at the same time, discovering where it can evolve.
His artistic philosophy is based on passion, professionalism and, above all, on musical selection. DJ Karlos seeks to differentiate himself through sessions and productions that do not necessarily follow the most obvious paths. The search for sounds, careful selection and his own personality are fundamental elements of his proposal.
More than two decades after starting DJing, DJ Karlos continues to evolve as an artist, combining the experience accumulated since 1998 with a new stage as a producer and a constant curiosity for the sounds of the present and the future.
