DJane Fonda is the retro-futuristic alter ego of Brazilian artist Bárbara Eugênia, a singer, songwriter, and performer known for her distinctive blend of vintage aesthetics and contemporary electronic sound. Born out of São Paulo’s vibrant nightlife in the late 2000s, the persona evolved from her deep connection to underground music scenes, fashion, and performance art. DJane Fonda fully came into her own in 2021, when Bárbara began producing original tracks tailored for the dancefloor, expanding her artistic identity into a powerful DJ-producer project.
Her sound is an eclectic and high-energy journey that moves seamlessly between synth-driven landscapes, house, dark disco, and rock influences, often layered with ethnic grooves and unexpected nostalgic elements. Known for her magnetic presence behind the decks, DJane Fonda crafts sets that are both cinematic and visceral—balancing retro references with futuristic flair while keeping the crowd in constant motion.
Alongside her DJ work, DJane Fonda has released a series of singles that reflect her sonic identity, including original productions and reinterpretations of iconic tracks. Among them is a bold reimagining of “The Best,” the classic popularized by Tina Turner, transformed into a dancefloor-ready anthem with her signature twist.
In 2023, she released her debut EP, marking a defining moment in the project.
Since relocating to Portugal, DJane Fonda has become an active presence in the local electronic scene, performing at some of the country’s main clubs and events. Her sets have resonated strongly with audiences, earning her a reputation for delivering unforgettable nights driven by groove, attitude, and high vibes.
With a growing discography and an expanding international presence, DJane Fonda continues to push boundaries, merging music, persona, and performance into a unique and fun experience.
