DJ Tangerina is the name behind Rave Funk Brasil, a label that bridges the heart of Rio’s Baile Funk with the energy of the global electronic scene. His unique sound has conquered stages across four continents: from Rock in Rio to Burning Man, through The Ritz and Baby Brasa in New York City, and across Europe with Fête de la Musique, Jump Bastille, and La Caravane in Paris — as well the iconic Brazilian Party Arca de Noé.

In the studio, Tangerina has built a discography alongside true legends of Brazilian Funk: Mandrake, MC Copinho, MC Hulk, MC Toy, MC Tigrão, MC Fahah, Ari Falcão and other names that defined generations. A collision between the glorious past of the genre and the future of electronic music.

Off the decks, he also stands out as a model — with campaigns for Johnnie Walker and Kenner — proving that his presence reaches far beyond the booth.

The journey started on the drums: a finalist on Multishow’s “Geleia do Rock 3”, Tangerina came into music as a drummer and carved his own path.
