DJ Ozu,Sebastian De Avila born in Cartagena and currently based in London, is a Latin DJ and performer recognized for bringing the raw energy, rhythm, and spirit of the Colombian Caribbean to the international nightlife scene.
He began his DJ journey at the age of 21, driven by a genuine love for music and the emotional connection it creates between people. What started as passion quickly became a clear artistic direction: creating sets that are not only made for clubs, but designed to tell stories through sound, energy, and culture.
Strongly connected to his roots, DJ Ozu proudly represents “La Costa” — the Caribbean coast of Cartagena — in every performance. His sound is heavily inspired by the freedom, flavor, movement, and fresh musical influence that defines the culture he grew up around. Combining reggaeton, Latin urban music, dembow, edits, and high-energy transitions, his performances are built to keep crowds emotionally connected from beginning to end.
Over the years, DJ Ozu has continued to establish himself within the UK Latin music scene, performing at major events and sharing stages with internationally recognized artists. One of his biggest milestones so far was performing at one of the largest Latino festivals in the UK in front of more than 8,000 people — a defining moment that showcased his ability to move massive crowds with confidence and authenticity.
His career has included opening performances for major Latin artists such as Danny Ocean, Ryan Castro, Darell, Nio García, and Casper Mágico, including appearances at venues such as The O2. He has also shared lineups with DJ Orma, known globally as the official DJ for Bad Bunny, further strengthening his position within the international Latin urban scene.
Beyond concerts and festivals, DJ Ozu has become a recognized name within the nightlife circuit through his involvement in official afterparties for some of the biggest Latin artists in the world, including Karol G, Bad Bunny, Maluma, J Balvin, Feid, and Myke Towers. These performances have helped establish his reputation as a DJ capable of maintaining the energy and atmosphere expected at high-profile international events.
Beyond the UK, DJ Ozu has taken his sound across several countries throughout Europe, including Poland, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Norway, and Scotland. He has also completed tours in Colombia and the United States, continuing to expand his international reach and connect with Latin audiences worldwide.
Beyond the music itself, DJ Ozu’s identity is rooted in representation. His mission is to carry the sound and culture of Cartagena to bigger stages around the world while inspiring others to embrace where they come from. Every set reflects his mentality: staying authentic, trusting the process, and turning ambition into reality.
With growing recognition, a rapidly developing audience, and a vision focused on performing at the biggest festivals across Europe, DJ Ozu represents a new wave of Latin DJs pushing the culture forward internationally.
