Kamekase is driven not by a desire for the spotlight, but by a deep and personal sound exploration. Javier, a musician and producer from Mexico City, found in psychedelia a sanctuary and a language of his own to explore emotions and rhythms without the need for words. His journey began alone at age 17, when he acquired his first turntables and taught himself the art of mixing. Far from the limelight, his musical universe took shape in the solitude of the studio, fueled by the auditory complexity of influences such as Xenomorph, Dirty Saffy, 220 Volts, and Jumpstreet. That introspection translates today into a cautious yet firm proposal that subtly navigates from psytrance structures to the intensity of twilight and forest at 156 BPM. Instead of seeking attention, Kamekase prefers to build unpredictable atmospheres that connect directly with the listener, avoiding repetitive formulas. Despite his reserved nature, his work behind the decks has led him to share the stage with artists like Katun, Deuteroz, Unstable, Oxxomo, Killatk, and Holondrilo, currently backed by the vision of production labels Omaha Records and Manipura MX. Today, he spends most of his time immersed in creating Alien Maniacs, his new Live project, where he channels his vision of psychedelic music in an even more personal way.
