DJ Hebraico

DJ HEBRAICO Born and raised in Cape Verde, Hebraico is a DJ and producer from Cape Verde, based between Lisbon and Praia. O nome que carrega é uma herança direta do seu pai, DJ nos años 90 e vendedor de música na ilha de São Nicolau que lhe transmitiu o amor pela música desde cedo.

He had his first steps in music in 2008, but in 2014 he truly affirmed himself as a DJ to be part of the group Sigui Sabura, marking the beginning of a new phase in his career. No year followed, in 2015, the first DJ to visit all the islands of Cape Verde, our historical tour in the field of the I Love Cape Verde project — a feat that was placed at the forefront of the Cape Verdean musical dinner.

With a clear vision of bringing the Cape-Verdi culture closer to House Music and Afro House, Hebraico has built a discography with collaborations with renowned labels such as Empire Africa, Kazukuta Records and Seres Produções, also counting on partnerships with artists such as June Freedom.

His music has crossed borders and dancefloors in countries such as Holland, Belgium, France, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Spain (Ibiza), the United States and Guinea-Bissau, in addition to a marked presence from north to south of Portugal.

More than an artist, Hebraico represents a movement: the people of taking the cape-Verdian djing to the world and the world to Cape Verde. Through his own project, he continues to disseminate the art of djing as a way between cultures, affirming himself as one of the most authentic and influential voices of contemporary electronic music of Cape Verdean origin.
