Few figures have influenced the electronic music landscape as enduringly as Sasha. Emerging from the UK acid house revolution in the late 1980s, Sasha established himself through era-defining residencies at Shelley’s and the Hacienda before anchoring Renaissance in Mansfield—where he released the pioneering Renaissance: The Mix Collection (1994), widely regarded as the blueprint for commercial mix compilations.
Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, his partnership with John Digweed achieved legendary status. Together, they held a historic residency at New York’s Twilo, headlined global arenas, and produced the acclaimed Northern Exposure trilogy. Simultaneously, Sasha established his solo studio prowess with his debut artist album Airdrawndagger (2002) and revolutionized the mix format with Involver (2004) and its sequels, utilizing software manipulation to remix every track exclusively for the journey.
In 2011, Sasha founded Last Night On Earth (LNOE). Serving as a creative playground for forward-thinking melodic techno, deep house, and electronica, the imprint regularly hosts curated stages at major festivals and worldwide club showcases.
Never content with nostalgia, Sasha continues pushing performance boundaries. In 2017, he unveiled re:Fracted, a sold-out live performance series at London’s Barbican and Roundhouse, reimagining his back catalogue with a full orchestra, strings, and live synthesizers. Whether piloting marathon headline club sets, commanding main stages, or releasing cutting-edge studio material, Sasha remains a master of tension, narrative, and sonic texture.
