DJ EMA never planned on becoming a House DJ. Los Angeles changed everything.

Raised in Japan and shaped by years as a dancer, EMA began her DJ career in Los Angeles playing Hip-Hop and R&B. But after immersing herself in LA’s diverse cultures and party scene, she discovered a side of House music that had never been part of her world before. What began as curiosity quickly became an unexpected shift in her musical direction.

Today, EMA moves between Afro House, House, and Tech House, bringing a dancer’s instinct for rhythm and movement into every set. Her next chapter is about bringing her Japanese roots into that sound — blending elements of Japanese music and culture with contemporary House music and carrying them onto dance floors around the world.
