Destro is one of the pioneering DJs of Techno and Hard Techno in Latin America. With a career spanning 25 years, he has performed across 16 countries in the Americas and Europe — including Germany, Austria, Spain, England, Portugal, France, Italy, the Netherlands, the United States, Finland, Andorra, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, and his native Venezuela — sharing stages with some of the most influential figures in the global Techno scene and earning numerous awards and recognitions for his work, activism, and artistic trajectory. Renowned for his distinctive technique and versatility, Destro moves effortlessly between digital and vinyl formats, blending styles such as Techno, Hard Techno, Hardgroove, Acid Techno, and Breakbeats. As a producer, he has released both vinyl and digital works on respected labels and collaborated with several prominent international artists. Beyond the stage, Destro has built a strong profile as an educator, communicator, and brand ambassador, representing leading international companies such as Sennheiser, Movimiento Ilícito, and Ron Carúpano. He is also the official DJ for Allen & Heath and Novation in Colombia, regularly hosting free workshops, demos, and promotional activities across the country. Currently based in Bogotá, Colombia, Destro serves as Partner, Resident DJ, and Artistic Director at Octava Club, the country’s leading electronic music venue — ranked for six consecutive years among the DJMAG Top 100 Clubs worldwide — where he curates Altered State, a platform for a wide diversity of Techno sounds. He is also the Founder and Director at Mad Skills Academy, a creative institution focused on DJing, Electronic music production, VJing and professional careers related to electronic music, from which he mentors the next generation of Latin American artists and producers.
