Full bio

I'm Deragna, a DJ from Tunuyán, Mendoza. From a very young age, music was part of my life, not only as something that is listened to, but as a way of feeling, of understanding moments and of connecting with others. I grew up in an environment closely linked to entertainment and sound, which allowed me to develop a different perspective: not only from the artistic, but also from the technical. More than four years ago I started building my path as a DJ, finding my place within Progressive House, Tech House and minimal. My sound is based on progressive sets, with a marked groove, moments of tension and release, and a clear intention behind each track. It's not just about playing music, but about building a journey, a story that develops on the dance floor. Something that defines my way of working a lot is that duality between the technical and the emotional. Having been on the other side, working with sound and understanding how events work, gave me tools to read the track better, interpret the context and make decisions in real time. For me, music is not something isolated: it is energy, it is timing, it is connection. In the booth, my proposal goes beyond the traditional DJ set. I usually work with multiple decks simultaneously, using loops, layers and constant modifications on the tracks. To that I add, depending on the context, live elements such as electronic percussion (Octapad), synthesizers or production tools such as Ableton. All this allows me to actively intervene in what is happening, generate variations and build sets that are not repeated. My goal is not for all sets to sound the same, but quite the opposite: for each presentation to have its own identity. I'm interested in the music adapting to the time, the place and the people. There are nights where I look for the dance floor to explode, for the body not to stop moving, and others where I aim more for the hypnotic, for people to disconnect and enter a kind of journey. But there is always something in common: the intention to generate an experience. Throughout this time I had the opportunity to play in different spaces in Mendoza, from nightclubs and night events to sunsets and wineries, each with its own dynamics. I was also called up for two consecutive seasons in Las Leñas, an experience that marked a before and after in my growth. It is a context where different audiences, energies and moments coexist, and that forced me to adapt, to read better and to grow both technically and musically. Beyond the technical or the professional, there is something that is central to me: what music generates in people. I always say that the right music at the right time can completely change a situation. It can take a moment from just another moment to an unforgettable one. And that's what I'm looking for when I play. I feel that music is one of the purest forms of communication that exists. It is not necessary to explain it, it is not necessary to understand it from a rational point of view. You can feel it. And when someone shares music with you, deep down they are sharing an emotion, a part of what happened to them. For me, playing is just that: a way of transmitting what I feel and trying to make someone else feel it too. I don't believe in right or wrong tastes. I believe in connection. In that moment where something sounds and goes through you. And if I can make that happen on the court, even for a few seconds, then it all makes sense. My goal is simple, but at the same time it is what moves me the most: to create moments that are felt, lived and that remain. That someone leaves the dance floor thinking "what a night", "what a moment", "what a good time I had". Because in the end, that's what this is all about.
