DEMENTE2

Juan Manuel and Juan David Gaviria Jurado, artistically known as the DEMENTE2, are a duo of DJs originally from the city of Bello, Antioquia, who have made their way strongly into the electronic scene of Medellín.

Approximately 8 years ago, the brothers began this path in music and have managed to consolidate their own style that moves fluidly between the sounds of house, tech house and minimal deep tech. Their musical proposal is characterized by a careful sound selection and a refined technique when mixing, virtues with which they have been able to connect deeply with the audience and generate a vibrant atmosphere in each presentation, which has led them to share the booth with great references of the genre in the city such as Black Criss and Gruuss, JAAR, Juan DDD, Emanuel Querol (ARG), Dan Cutoff, KASAR, among others. With their unique style they have left their sound mark in various bars and clubs in the Aburrá Valley, such as the emblematic Baren (The Bar of Good Music), Avengers, Lico House, Presidencial Bar and their passage through eastern Antioquia in Tropical Paradise.

With a focus on Music Production, the DEMENTE2 seek to consolidate a different sound, influenced by their musical tastes such as House, Disco, Funk, hip-hop and contemporary Rock, making these a single movement as an expression of union.

Their roots resemble the neighborhood electronic parties of the 2000s, thanks to an uncle (Víctor Jurado), their first reference DJ, who would teach them his music and his virtues to play with CDs at that time. Little by little, the brothers were adopting more knowledge and decided to follow their customs giving way to the realization and organization of street parties of electronic music, some with limited capacity, others outdoors, in order to make themselves known within their community.
