Dj Dan AG: Evolution, Avant-Garde and the Return to the Roots

Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Danner Gómez —artistically known as Dj Dan AG— has consolidated his career under a clear premise: to make the dance floor vibrate through constant evolution. His beginnings were marked by the energy of EDM at 127 BPM, but his technical curiosity and meticulousness when mixing led him to immerse himself fully in the most forceful sounds of Tech House. Inspired by references of the Venezuelan scene such as Tony Guerra, Gustavo Domínguez, Hanie and Shine & Vainc, and after absorbing the atmosphere of night temples such as Cibo Club, Ibiza and Positano, Dan began to build a name with his own weight in the capital.

His first major milestone came in 2016, the year in which he was crowned the winner of the Future Contest and performed on the stage of ExpoDj's Venezuela, the most important electronic music event in the country. With the momentum of this success and an insatiable search for growth, in 2017 he moved to Bogotá, Colombia, managing to connect with leading clubs in the capital of New Granada before temporarily returning to his homeland to continue supporting the local movement from sectors such as La Dolorita, in Miranda.

In 2022, defying the fear of the unknown, Dan AG made the decision to internationalize his proposal and immigrated to the United States. The first months demanded resilience, balancing everyday life with sleepless nights perfecting his technique. The key opportunity came organically in Kansas City, where a powerful back-to-back with Colombian DJ MAAD in the anteroom of the renowned producer Mashbit marked a before and after in his time on the North American circuit.

During his residency in the U.S., Dan AG was dedicated to absorbing the cutting edge of the global industry by attending and analyzing the dynamics of the most influential festivals on the planet: the high energy and yacht parties of the Ultra Music Festival in Miami; the eclectic and massive atmosphere of Coachella in California; the visual immersion of EDC Las Vegas; and the purist demand of the ARC Festival in Chicago.

With luggage full of global influences and an indisputable musical maturity, Dan AG made the strategic decision to return to Venezuela in September 2025. Far from being a pause, this return represents a process of reinvention and a commitment to the national scene. At the beginning of 2026, he reaffirmed his technical training at the Box Music Studio academy, where he obtained three certifications, highlighting that of Professional DJ.

Today, with residencies and active performances at key spots such as La Quinta Live Music Bar, Dan AG fuses international learning with the unique energy of the Venezuelan public, proving that the best beats in their history are just yet to come.
