I am Clandestino, and I have been passionate about electronic music since I was fourteen. In the early 2000s, when trance and progressive house dominated the European electronic music scene, this sound found me before I was even old enough to get into most parties. At eighteen, I started DJing at local parties and raves. Performing as Mike Murdi, I played to crowds of three, four, or five hundred people—sweat, strobe lights, and nights that didn't simply end but dissolved into the morning. That should have been the beginning of it all. However, I decided to step away from that scene for a long period to refine my musical style, explore new sounds, and draw inspiration from various movements within the European electronic landscape. I have no social media presence, no showcase of "highlight reels"; the only way to hear what I’ve been building is to be in the room when I play it and to live the moment right then and there. Clandestino is the name I returned under, and my decision to avoid social media isn't an aesthetic choice; it stems from the same instinct that drove my initial search: valuing privacy over performing for a feed. If you truly want to experience the sound, there is only one way to discover it—by being there and enjoying the moment.
