Cameron Cloud is a Los Angeles-based DJ, visual artist, and creative director whose performances fuse house, tech house, bass house, UK garage, and nostalgic edits into immersive experiences designed to move people. Every set is built around one philosophy: read the room, tell a story, and leave the crowd feeling like they experienced something unique.
His journey into electronic music began in Austin, Texas, where the city's thriving underground scene became the foundation for his artistic identity. Tracks like "She Yells" by Sango and "Mitzdi" by Whynnel opened the door to a new world of music, inspiring him to explore electronic sounds that blended emotion, rhythm, and experimentation. Long before stepping behind the decks, Cameron was deeply involved in Austin's creative community as both a photographer and visual artist.
From 2011 to 2018, Cameron immersed himself in nearly every corner of Austin's music and art culture. He photographed performances at the legendary underground venue Barcelona, documenting artists such as Shades, Champagne Drip, 12th Planet, and many others who helped define the city's bass music movement. He was also a familiar face at Empire Control Room during Curate Culture on Wednesday nights, where he regularly showcased his artwork while building relationships throughout the city's creative community. Those years gave him an intimate understanding of what makes a music scene thrive—not just the performances on stage, but the artists, organizers, and audiences who create culture together.
In 2017, Cameron stepped onto one of his first major stages during SXSW, performing and helping produce house music under the name KIVI. The experience confirmed what he had already begun to feel: music wasn't simply another creative outlet—it was becoming an essential part of who he was as an artist.
After relocating to Los Angeles in 2018 with little more than what fit in his car, Cameron continued pursuing photography while searching for a new creative challenge. Although photography remained an important part of his life, he found himself craving a more immediate and playful way to express ideas without the pressure of perfection. He bought his first DJ controller and speakers with one simple goal: to have fun mixing music again.
That decision changed everything.
What began as a creative escape quickly evolved into something much larger. Years spent collecting music, practicing, and playing house parties gradually turned into opportunities to perform throughout Los Angeles. Surrounded by a supportive community that believed in his talent, Cameron's hobby transformed into a serious pursuit. While he always approached DJing with dedication, the encouragement from fellow artists, promoters, and friends gave him the confidence to think bigger.
One performance in particular became a defining moment. During Echo Park Rising at Los Globos, Cameron watched an almost empty room steadily fill as people gathered around the music. By the end of the set, the dance floor was packed and the crowd was fully engaged. Seeing a room come alive through thoughtful programming, seamless transitions, and shared energy reinforced exactly why he wanted to pursue DJing professionally.
Today, Cameron has performed at venues including Los Globos, Bordners, and Jungle for Clinic Wednesdays, continuing to build a reputation for energetic, carefully curated sets that balance underground selections with crowd-moving moments. His musical style blends house, tech house, bass house, UK garage, melodic influences, and unexpected edits, creating sets that feel familiar enough to connect with audiences while remaining fresh and unpredictable.
Drawing inspiration from artists including John Summit, Of The Trees, Dave Summer, Devault, Anyma, KREME, Sidepiece, Chris Lake, Bradeazy, and Odd Mob, Cameron has developed a sound that emphasizes groove, momentum, and emotion over simply chasing trends. Rather than relying on predictable playlists, he treats every performance as a conversation with the audience, constantly adapting to the room while maintaining a clear artistic identity.
Beyond the music itself, Cameron's background as a professional photographer and visual artist influences every aspect of his project. His long-term vision extends beyond DJing into a multidisciplinary creative brand where music, visual art, fashion, design, film, and technology intersect. Inspired by futuristic aesthetics, biotechnology, and street art, he is developing Cameron Cloud into an immersive creative universe where each performance combines carefully crafted visuals with dynamic sound to create unforgettable experiences.
Looking ahead, Cameron's goals include performing at iconic venues such as Space Miami and clubs around the world, returning to SXSW as a solo artist, and playing festivals including Lightning in a Bottle, Ultra, and Experts Only Festival. He plans to release original productions and mashups, launch his own record label, open a gallery and creative event space, and continue building a brand that spans music, visual art, clothing, publishing, and collaborative projects with artists and companies who share his vision.
At its core, Cameron Cloud is more than a DJ project. It is a multidisciplinary artistic platform dedicated to bringing people together through music, visual storytelling, and immersive experiences. Whether performing in an intimate club, on a rooftop at sunset, at a warehouse party, an art exhibition, or on a festival stage, Cameron approaches every set with the same intention: to create moments people remember long after the last song ends.
Cameron Cloud is a multidimensional artist committed to delivering the highest level of visual and sonic experience—bridging music, art, and technology into one cohesive creative vision.
