Full bio

Alan Bunster develops BUNSTER [PROTOCØL], a DJ project born in Concepción and focused on a dark, hypnotic and groove Tech House. Its identity combines the rhythmic elegance of the genre with the tension and authority of Techno, progressively hardening the dance floor without losing movement, clarity or danceable orientation.

Their sound moves from an elegant, enveloping and contained electronics that accompany the arrival, the conversation and the encounter, to deep grooves, firmer bass and a progressive tension inherited from Techno. It is not about two separate identities, but about the same operation with different levels of intensity: receiving the audience, establishing the movement and leading them to a track under greater pressure.

The project has grown through direct practice. After starting mixing in January 2026, Alan developed recurring experience in urban sessions held on Diagonal Pedro Aguirre Cerda. In that space, music coexists with Bunstore, his second-hand clothing venture, everyday traffic and audiences who do not necessarily come looking for electronics.

These interventions have turned the street into a space for experimentation and direct contact, allowing them to try out repertoire, control the range of the sound, observe the spontaneous response of different audiences and adapt the intensity without losing identity. The Diagonal has thus been transformed into an urban booth where music, commerce and daily circulation are part of the same scene.

After four previous appearances at Piso Dos, BUNSTER [PROTOCØL] was incorporated for the first time into the official flyer of the venue for its fifth presentation. Its proposal of dark, hypnotic and groove Tech House has aroused the interest of audiences looking for an alternative to the more conventional rhythms, also receiving the support of the resident DJs who accompanied their entry into the local circuit.

Its main references include CHRSTPHR, James Hurr and DON'T BLINK, along with the track functionality and precision associated with the sound of Toolroom. However, its identity does not depend on a single label, but on a selection built through real experience: validated repertoire, tools in evaluation, workhorses, reserve resources and tracks intended for specific functions within the set.

The proposal can be summed up as groove under pressure: elegant, dark and functional Tech House, crossed by industrial tension and a technical operation adaptable to the space. Currently, BUNSTER [PROTOCØL] consolidates its presence within the local circuit and projects its development towards new booths, audiences and contexts.
