bubu

bubu is a Romanian DJ and producer currently based in Madrid, with a sound rooted in house, minimal house and groove-driven electronic music.

His relationship with music production began in 2020, initially as a process of exploration and experimentation. In 2024, he started developing the project more actively, both behind the decks and through his own releases.

Percussion plays a central role in his musical identity. His sets are designed to create movement and balance, bringing together rolling grooves, energetic rhythms and selections that feel fresh or unexpected. Rather than maintaining constant intensity, bubu uses moments of space and release to shape the journey of a set, gradually building an atmosphere that feels natural, dynamic and connected to the dancefloor.

He has performed at venues including Nook and Grădina Monteoru in Bucharest. In 2026, he independently released three projects: Lost and Found, Echilibru perturbat and bad habits, marking the beginning of a more consistent direction as a producer.

Now based in Madrid, bubu is focused on developing his presence within the local and international scene through new releases, collaborations and club performances, while continuing to refine a sound driven by groove, percussion and authentic dancefloor energy.
