Armendariz

Armendariz is the musical vision of Edgar Armendariz: DJ, producer and one of the minds behind ILUNA. With more than 15 years of experience from southern Mexico, his sound is a reflection of his homeland mixed with the raw energy of the club. What began as a personal search has become one of the most solid proposals of the national underground scene. His style moves between Indie Dance, Progressive House and Techno, giving shape to what he himself defines as "Music of the Underworld": a nocturnal journey, full of hypnotic textures, percussions that envelop you and vocals with a touch of mysticism and cinematic tension. It's not music made just to tick the clock on the track; it's an atmosphere to get lost in. That commitment in the studio has paid off clearly. Their tracks have reached #1 on national radio on Beat 100.9 FM and have steadily made their way onto Beatport's international charts. In addition, their music has crossed borders thanks to the support of global artists and releases under heavyweight labels such as Beatfreak Recordings (Spain), Fisica, Controlla and Neo Disco (Russia). In the booth, that same intensity has led him to share stages and festivals with references such as Zombies in Miami, Technasia, Marc DePulse, Theus Mago, Cabizbajo and Flor Capistrán. For Edgar, elegant darkness and constant groove are not a pose, but the natural language to connect with the dance floor.
