aplanos

aplanos is a French-based artist exploring the intersection between hypnotic techno, trance-inflected textures and instinctive composition.

His approach to DJing is deeply rooted in long-form listening and organic progression. Rather than relying on linear structures or immediate impact, his sets unfold as evolving narratives - shaped by tension, release, and subtle shifts in perception. Each transition is treated as a space for transformation, where rhythm and texture interact to create a continuous, immersive flow.

Originally shaped by years of intensive listening - often alongside his parallel path in medicine - aplanos developed a precise and intuitive ear. This dual background informs a practice that balances analytical awareness with instinctive decision-making, allowing him to navigate complex sonic landscapes with clarity and intention.

His work is not driven by genre constraints but by states: late-night energy, mental absorption, and emotional resonance. Drawing from both deep techno and trance atmospheres, his sets aim to dissolve boundaries between control and abandon, structure and fluidity.

Beyond sound, aplanos integrates a strong visual and artistic dimension into his work. His latest project, Inherited Motion, is accompanied by an original artwork created by his mother - an intuitive painter working without premeditation. This collaboration reflects a deeper layer of his artistic identity, rooted in transmission, gesture, and shared sensibility.

Rather than positioning himself within a predefined scene, aplanos develops a singular language - one that prioritizes coherence, atmosphere, and lived experience over immediate visibility.

His sets are not designed to impress instantly, but to unfold progressively, leaving a lasting imprint on those willing to engage with their depth.
