ANIVAL (Aníbal De la Puente) is a DJ from Guadalajara, Mexico, whose practice is centered on building sustained energy within the club. His approach is rooted in a simple but demanding idea: to keep the dancefloor in constant motion through sets that prioritize continuity, rhythm, and a direct connection with the crowd.
Influenced by schranz and hardgroove, his sound develops through driving percussion, repetitive structures, and a narrative that evolves progressively. Rather than relying on abrupt changes, his sets are built on rhythmic insistence and the gradual accumulation of tension, creating hypnotic sessions that unfold in an organic way.
He began his journey in electronic music at the age of 20, approaching DJing through consistent practice and the development of a personal musical perspective. At 26, he transitioned into a professional path, shaping a project that moves away from superficiality and focuses on functionality: sets designed for the dancefloor, where every decision responds to the moment and the flow of the space.
Throughout his career, he has performed in various cities across Mexico as well as in the United States, allowing him to adapt to different contexts and audiences while maintaining a coherent identity. Along the way, he has shared the stage with international artists such as A.N.I., SaltySis, Marina Bo, LESSS and Núria, experiences that have contributed to his perspective within the scene.
His approach as a DJ is based on active listening and the development of a personal language within the club. Rather than imposing a fixed narrative, he seeks to establish an ongoing dialogue with the dancefloor, where energy is sustained and transformed naturally. His sets aim to find a balance between the physical and the mental: intense enough to move the body, yet consistent enough to create an immersive state.
Beyond labels, ANIVAL understands techno as a space for connection. His practice remains true to that idea, prioritizing the collective experience over individual protagonism. Each set reflects this approach: continuous rhythm, clear intention, and a direct relationship with the environment.
Currently, he continues to develop his project with the intention of bringing his sound to new contexts, while staying grounded in an honest, dancefloor-focused vision. His goal is not only to perform in different spaces, but to actively contribute to a culture built on repetition, shared energy, and time spent within the club.
