Amethysta

Caroline Valença, creator of the AMETHYSTA project, is a multi-artist from Brasília and one of the most promising rising names in the Brazilian electronic music scene. Recognized as one of the Top 100 Brazilian Djanes by Djane Mag Brasil, Amethysta has built a solid career as a DJ and Music Producer, defined by originality, innovation, and artistic identity. Her breakthrough in music production came with the solo EP “Dark Feminine”, which made her the first woman to release a solo EP on the respected label Decreto. The release reached the Top 10 on Beatport, firmly establishing her career and paving the way for performances featuring fully original sets. Currently, Amethysta is an ambassador for Decreto Techno (Brazil) and Divinity Records (Mexico). Her journey in electronic music began early, attending raves at just 11 years old, where she explored multiple styles and movements within the scene. Over time, she found her voice as a creator and innovator, standing out especially through psytechno, a genre in which she has developed a distinctive sonic signature. Amethysta’s recognition extends beyond regional borders, with performances across São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, and Goiás. Her powerful and authentic sound has shared line-ups with major artists such as Eli Iwasa, Carola, Mila Journee, Groove Delight, Acid Asian, Macedo, Marcolyz, and Hopper, among others. Internationally, she participated in the global psytrance project Unity of Pulse, alongside Divinity Records (Mexico). The AMETHYSTA project aims to bridge rave culture and the clubbing scene, valuing BPM transitions and musical freedom without limitations or labels. Respect, diversity, and artistic freedom are the core pillars of her work. Her musical identity is defined by a fusion of genres, highlighting the duality between Techno and Trance, the visceral and the spiritual, embodying the yin-yang concept present throughout her artistic expression. With strong foundations in peak time, acid, psytrance, and hard techno, Amethysta delivers an intense and unmistakable sound. Her releases have achieved significant rankings on Beatport, including appearances in the Top 100 Global, Top 10 Releases Peak Time/Driving (Dark Feminine EP – Decreto/Brazil), Top 10 Releases Peak Time/Driving (Seven Eyes EP – Decreto/Brazil, collaborative EP featuring remixes by Benicci, URANNIA, and Nejoy), Best New Psy Trance – August 2024 (Alternative Society – Divinity Records/Mexico), and Top 5 Releases Hard Techno (Basse-Cour Records/Italy). Amethysta’s impact has not gone unnoticed by the media. Renowned magazines such as House Mag and Mixmag Brazil have highlighted her influence and talent, recognizing her as a powerful and emerging force in both the national and international electronic music scenes. Currently, the artist is focused on performing original sets, delivering her unique and high-energy signature.
