AliTheLover

Russian Born, Cambodia based experimenter of sound, colour and and life - AliTheLover carries an air of intrigue in whatever medium she decides to express herself in. Despite enjoying various forms of art, music has always been the centerpiece of Ali’s creative expression.

Since first moving to South East Asia in 2019 Ali’s sound has been shaped by the influential artists and parties that were the heart of Cambodia’s pre-covid scene, notably with a residency with Cubik (Phnom Penh Underground) as well as playing alongside artists such as Raysoo and Exos in more recent years.

Following the music led to a string of further experiences in Vietnamese and Thai scene, playing and working with venues such as Mirage and Otto in Hanoi, Bangkok’s ETA, Sathorn 11 Art Space and Phuket’s The Commune and Enthusiast Place.

Post a brief hiatus, Ali returns to the region ready to express her recent experiences, stories and feelings through her music - an eclectic mix of hypnotically driven, acidic, minimally tinged Breaks, Techno and House.
