Alex Tapiza

Alex Tapiza is a New York based DJ with a natural connection to creativity, music and content creation. In 2021, during a trip to Tulum, he discovered in Afro House a sound that resonated with him like no other genre had before. That connection marked the beginning of his path as a DJ.

His sets often begin with a darker, mysterious, ancestral and immersive energy before evolving into something more celebratory and free. Afro Tech, Latin House, Tribal House, Deep House, Tech House and melodic elements move through that journey without drifting away from the Afro House essence that defines his sound

Beyond the music, Alex draws inspiration from ancient cultures, mystery, nature and contemporary nightlife. His sound feels naturally at home in sunset beach clubs, rooftops with character, restaurants that evolve into nightlife, destination events and underground spaces where he can explore the deeper and darker side of his selection.

At the center of it all is connection. The music moves through ritual, tension and release, gradually stripping away the distance between people until the entire space feels like one collective energy.
